There are 150 government internships available at offices situated in all provinces across South Africa.

Youth Development Programme Description

  • Duration: 18-month or 24-month programme
  • Location: Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape, Western Cape.

Who Should Apply?

Unemployed South African graduates and TVET students, with a tertiary qualification in one of the below-mentioned fields of study who have not previously participated in any internship programme and In-service training.

MOST IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Candidates who wish to apply for internships outside their respective Provinces must be able to find accommodation considering that they will not be earning a salary but only a stipend.

Separate applications must be made for each Provincial Office which you are applying for and quoting the relevant reference number for the centre of your choice.

Successful applicants will be placed in a post of Youth Development (150 posts), at the centre of their choice for 18 months for TVET Students and 24 months for Graduate Students and remunerated a stipend depending on the qualification obtained as follows.

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) invites all unemployed graduates to gain workplace experience in their respective fields of study.

Interested applicants must submit their applications for internship to the address specified in each post. The application must include only completed and signed new Form Z83, obtainable from any Public Service Department or on the internet at www.gov.za, and a detailed Curriculum Vitae.

Certified copies of the Identity Document, Senior Certificate and the highest required qualification as well as a driver’s license where necessary, will only be submitted by shortlisted candidates to HR on or before the day of the interview date.
