One of the most important Jobs in the world is the one that saves the lives of many, Traffic Police are one of these people who do these amazing things.

Traffic police serve as the protectors in an intricate web of accident law. Their role includes accident prevention and safety enforcement as well as maintaining order on roads.

“If you would like to be a Traffic Officer then there is a Learnership available with the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management. The programme will last for 3 years and it is open for 18 and 35 unemployed youth residing in the North West Province”.

The Learnership aims to empower and provide valuable skills to young individuals while offering a monthly stipend of R3000 for three years.

How to Apply for The Traffic Officer Learnership Programme

To apply for the programme, you need to be qualified for it.

How Do You Know You Are Qualified to Apply?

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be between 18 and 35 years
  • Grade 12 Certificate or Vocational National Certificate L4
  • Applicants must not be 36 years of age or older at the time of enrollment.
  • No visible tattoos

What Documents Is Required?

  • Valid South African Identity Document (RSA ID)
  • Police Criminal Clearance Report (obtained from South African Police Services, issued within the last 3 weeks)
  • Medical report stating fitness for strenuous physical exercise (from a registered health professional with an official stamp)
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 8, 10, or 14 – No learner licenses accepted)
  • Proof of Residence (strictly from Municipality of Traditional Council)
  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with at least three referees and their updated contact details.
  • Relevant qualification details should be included in the CV.

VERY IMPORTANT:

  • Applications with post-matric qualifications or short courses/skills development will not be accepted.
  • Attach the correct reference number, position, and department name in full.
  • Late, faxed or emailed applications will not be considered.
  • Interviews will be conducted at a time and place determined by the Department.
  • Previous applicants are encouraged to re-apply.
