OFF-CAMPUS INTERNATIONAL CLEARANCE PROCESS

International-related support and enquiries will be conducted from staff off-campus.

You are required to scan and submit the following documentation (certified copies with the certification stamp not older than 3 months) via e-mail to the contact details below:

  • Your refugee permit or study permit (receipts will not be accepted) made out for the Cape Peninsula University of Technology
  • Your passport.
  • Proof of comprehensive medical aid cover (valid for 12 months) and valid in South Africa.
  • Deposit slips.
  • Your acceptance registration letter

OFF-CAMPUS FINANCIAL CLEARANCE PROCESS

Students with financial blocks must forward their financial enquiries to staff via email to Pam bentelep@put.ac.za and Thembile kunenet@cput.ac.za

The staff will assess the academic record, and outstanding debt and discuss a payment arrangement.

Once a debt arrangement is in place, the staff will remove the financial block and communicate directly with the student.

The following documentation is required upon request for clearance:

  • Student’s ID
  • The ID of the person responsible for payment of the account and also 3 months’ bank statements

OFF-CAMPUS PAYMENTS ONLY

No on-campus payments are possible.

Payments can be made at any branch of ABSA bank or via Internet banking. The details are available in the registration booklet.

MANUAL REGISTRATION PROCESS

Manual registrations are only applicable to the following qualifications:

  • Marine Engineering Non-Diploma (NDPMME)
  • Maritime Studies Non-Diploma (CLASS 4)

Due to the COVID-19 Level restrictions for Higher Education institutions, the manual registration procedure will be conducted as follows:

All accepted students with the above 2 qualifications must forward an e-mail to Natally Booysen BooysenN@cput.ac.za with the email subject line “Registration for Non-Diploma Maritime/Marine”  as an indication of the request for manual registration.
