Funza Lushaka Bursary Applications Eligibility:

NOTE: All first-time applicants must be 30 years or younger to apply for Funza Lushaka Bursary.

• Qualification: You must have been accepted into either a Bachelor of Education (BEd) or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) qualification at an accredited public university in South Africa.
• Subjects: At least two of your chosen teaching specialization subjects should be in one of the Funza Lushaka priority areas. You can find the current list of priority areas on the official website: http://www.funzalushaka.doe.gov.za/
• Academic Performance: Demonstrate good academic ability.
• Commitment to Teaching: Show enthusiasm for a career in teaching and willingness to face challenges with integrity.
• Service Requirement: Be prepared to teach at a public school for the same number of years as you receive the bursary.

How to Apply for Funza Lushaka Bursary

To access, register and apply for the Funza Lushaka Bursary, follow the nine (9) easy steps below;

Application process:

1. Apply online: All applications must be submitted through the e-Services portal: http://www.funzalushaka.doe.gov.za/Home/FirstTime
2. Create an Account: If you haven’t already, register on the portal by providing your personal information.
3. Log in: Once registered, log in using your username and password.
4. Select the Bursary Scheme: On the e-Services Menu, select “Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme.”
5. Verification: Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) received on your preferred channel.
6. Accept Terms and Conditions: Review and accept the terms and conditions.
7. Click on the Application Button: On the dashboard menu, click on the “2024 application button.”
8. Complete the Application: Follow the instructions to complete the application form with your information.
9. Declaration: Accept the declaration to confirm the accuracy of the information you provided.
