cut.ac.za Admission – How to Apply for CUT Registration 2024/2025

Up till now, anticipating students never stop asking the Difference Between an Application and Registration.

An Application is a formal request submitted to the authority of an institution to be considered suitable to study in their university. While Registration simply means the process of being registered into a university to study a course.

Applying for CUT Registration 2024/2025

You MUST apply for admission during the relevant application period before registering for any qualification at CUT.

CUT will assess your application according to the academic admission requirements for your qualification of choice and your final mark received at the undergraduate level.

If you qualify for admission, and if offered a space, you must accept the offer within the prescribed period before you will be able to register.

Financial Clearance will be online and you will be e-mailed a link explaining the process.

After Submitting an Application and Confirming your Application Status, What Is the Next Thing to Do?

You must register. Should you not register for the previous academic year for any reason, you will be required to re-apply for the next academic year.

As soon as your Central University of Technology, CUT registration has been finalized, a letter confirming your registration for the semester or academic year will be sent to your myCUT e-mail account.

How to Apply for CUT Online Registration 2024/2025

At CUT, you can register for Undergraduate qualifications, Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas, Master’s & doctoral degrees, and Short Learning Programmes. 

As a new/current student, you can access the self-service student iEnabler system on campus or your computer at home by following the steps below;

Before registration, see to make sure that;

A message indicating an issue with the security certificate may appear, please choose: “Continue to this website” option. It is safe to do so.

Step 1: Go to The CUT Online Registration Portal – https://enroll.cut.ac.za

  • Log in with your student number and the pin provided to you.

Step 2: Agree to Rules and Regulations.

  • Select “Rules and Regulations” on the left.

If you do not agree, please request assistance from the Office of the Registrar. Please take note that acceptance of the rules and regulations is mandatory, and serves as your electronic signature. This indicator is stored in your student file, and can be used as a legal agreement in a dispute/disciplinary matter.

  • Select “Submit Registration” on the left.

Step 3: Register for Subjects

  • Select your employment status in the drop-down list in the field “Employment Status”.
  • Click on “Save and Continue”; “Save and Continue Later”; or “Restart Process”.
  • Select your subjects by ticking the box next to each subject.
  • Ensure you select all the compulsory subjects.
  • Select the balance of the subjects from the list of electives.

Note that you may not register for subjects where the pre-requisites have not been met. These subjects will be indicated with the X button.

Step 4: Save and Print Proof of Registration and Collect your Proof of Registration at the Printers.

Confirm you are registered for the correct subjects. If there are changes needed, be sure to check the control dates. There is a timeline within which you can make additions, cancellations and changes to your subjects.

  • Click on “Save and Continue”; “Save and Continue Later”; or “Restart Process”.
  • Click on “Save and Continue” if you are absolutely sure that you have selected the right subjects, offering types and periods of study.
  • Click on “Print Cost Details” if you want to print the registration costs.
  • Click on the “I Accept Registration” button to finalize the registration process.
  • Click on “Proof of Registration” at the bottom to print your proof of registration.

Congratulations! You have successfully completed your registration as a bona fide student of CUT
