The following subjects and minimum point scores for admission to the Diploma in Nursing program:
- Applicants must be South African citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 36 years of age.
- Applicants must be residents of Mpumalanga Province.
These requirements are based on the National Senior Certificate (NSC):
- English Language: at least level 4 (HG D/SG C) or above
- Life Science/Biology/Physiology: at least level 4 (HG D/SG D) or above
- Mathematics: at least level 3 (HG E/SG D) or Maths Literacy at least level 5 or above
- Physical Science/Agriculture/Geography: passed with at least level 3 (HG E/SG D) or above
An additional requirement is a minimum total Admission Point Score (APS) of the six subjects with the highest levels not less than 23 (excluding Life Orientation).
SUMMARY:
- English Language: Level 4 (40% or higher)
- Life Science/Biology/Physiology: Level 4 (50% or higher)
- Mathematics/Maths Literacy: Minimum Level 3 (Mathematics) or Level 5 (Maths Literacy)
- Physical Science/Agriculture/Geography: Minimum Level 3
- Total APS (excluding Life Orientation): Minimum 23
