In order to ensure adequate time for application processing, and planning by the university and yourself, applications for early admission in 2024 should be as follows;

The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) has stated that they will be open and accepting online applications to the 2024 academic year from;

Important Dates for New and Returning Research Masters and Ph D Students

• Remote, self-help online registration for returning Research Masters and Doctoral students is from Monday 18 to Friday 29 January.
•  The final date for minimum fee payment required for registration RESEARCH M&D and the final date for semester 1 registration for RESEARCH M&D is Friday 29 January.

Important dates for returning Undergraduates, new and returning Postgraduate Diploma, Honours and Coursework Masters students

• Remote, self-help online registration for returning Undergraduates, new and returning Postgraduate Diploma, Honours and Coursework Masters students are from Monday 08 to Friday 12 February, if they have no negative terms decision holds.  Those students with negative term decision holds will require virtual online assistance which will be available from Monday 22 to Friday 26 February.
• First semester
• lectures commence on Monday 01 March.
• The final date for minimum fee payment required for registration returning Undergraduates, new and returning Postgraduate Diploma, Honours and Coursework Masters students, and the final date for semester 1 registration for Undergraduates, Postgraduate Diploma, Honours and Coursework Masters students is Friday 05 March.

• The final date for semester 1 registration and curriculum changes is Friday 05 March.

Important Dates for First-Year Undergraduate Students

• VirtualParents’ Day – Saturday, 13 March.
• On-campus residences open for REGISTERED first entry UG first-year students on Saturday 13 March.
• Registration and orientation week is 15 to 19 March.
