In order to ensure adequate time for application processing, and planning by the university and yourself, applications for early admission in 2024 should be as follows;

WITS Registration Dates 2024
The University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) has stated that they will be open and accepting online applications to the 2024 academic year from;
The ability to register for the intake will not be possible before JANUARY
First-Year students:
Online Registration for new first-year students will take place between 25 February and 5 March, depending on your Faculty and programme of study (Health Sciences opens 24 February).
Orientation will take place from 1 to 5 March in the afternoons and the first teaching block will commence on 8 March.
Returning students:
Online Registration for returning undergraduate students will take place between 5 January and 26 February, depending on your Faculty and programme of study (Health Sciences opens from 22 December).
The first teaching block will commence on 8 March.
Postgraduate Registration (MTech/ Masters/ MEd and DTech/ Doctoral/ DEd programmes)
Online Registration for postgraduate students will take place between 5 January and 19 February, depending on your Faculty and programme of study (Health Sciences opens from 21 December).
The first teaching block will 1 March.
