How to Check North-West University Application Status

There are two main ways to check your North-West University (NWU) application status, depending on whether you’re a first-year undergraduate student or not:

FOR FIRST-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS:

If you already received your matric results, and have applied for undergraduate studies you can check your status through the dedicated portal by following the instructions below;

• Visit the NWU website: https://studies.nwu.ac.za/undergraduate-studies/application-status
• Click on “Verification of final application status based on matric results.”
• Log in using the student number allocated to you when you applied and your PIN.
• You’ll be able to see your final application status based on your matric results.

CHECK THE VSS-AAA PORTAL:

If you need to check your application status for reasons other than matric results, you can use the VSS-AAA portal.

• Visit the VSS-AAA portal: https://jbossprd.nwu.ac.za/aaa-webclient/StudentWebCommand.do?sf=143380&lng=3
• Log in using your university number and PIN.
• Once logged in, you can access various options to manage your application and view its status.
